Liberty Crossing at 485 is a project over twenty years in the making

The landowner, Mr. Silas W. Davis, Jr. started visualizing this development while working with the CATS planning group and Tract 7 was identified as the location for the future Eastfield Station of the Red Line. Mr. Davis then reserved the 100 acres bisected by Old Statesville Road south of I-485 for the development of residential and commercial uses. Twenty-five acres were sold to HH Hunt for Abberly Liberty Crossing, a 320 apartment project, and then directly across Old Statesville, 30 acres were rezoned for 360 apartments, 30 townhomes, 24,500 sf of retail, and 20,000 sf of office space.

Liberty Crossing enjoys superior vehicular access with its location at the northernmost point of Interstate 485, Charlotte’s outer loop. The location is approximately halfway between Charlotte’s central business district and the prestigious communities of Lake Norman, Charlotte’s premier resort area offering luxury lake living. Interstate 77 is one minute to the west and Interstate 85 is seven minutes to the east, both directly accessible

via I-485 from Exit 23 which is adjacent to the property. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is a 20-minute drive from the site, Concord Regional Airport is a 12-minute drive and the Charlotte Central Business District is a 15-minute commute from the property.

The location at the crossroads of two interstates provides the uncommon ability to travel to all points on the compass with minimal traffic congestion. This superior transportation access provides the property with an unparalleled labor market and the ability to offer live/work solutions in this fast-growing and desirable part of Mecklenburg County.
